Although I don't know if this exact scene is going to be in my fic The Next Life: Rejection of Fate (I haven't finished writing it yet), it does represent the Crescent boys' relationship once things settle down.

LOL, Riku's brothers all adore him. XD
I had the idea that the boys were at the beach or something, and everyone fell asleep while getting all clingy with poor Riku.
(And yes, they are all asleep; I just couldn't get their expressions to look on paper the way they look in my head. *sigh*)

I really hate drawing....
*sigh* When you learn something at a young age, you have no idea how bad you are at it, so by the time you do start having discernment about quality, you're already good at whatever skill you've been practicing.
But when you start learning a new skill as an adult, you're always painfully aware of how much you suck at it, and it's really frustrating and discouraging. -.- *sigh*

Oh well; at least I'm still learning new things with each picture, and I keep repeating my motto to myself, so whatever.

Even though I'm obviously super-dissatisfied with how this turned out, it was a good picture to work on. This is the first time I've ever colored one of my drawings digitally, and there were two things I LOVED: the fact that I can use different skin tones for different characters, instead of "peach" for every single one of them; and that I can use different shades of black. *cries in relief* Oh, and YAY for not having to wrestle with pencil sharpeners which hate my colored pencils and vengefully try to eat them, or having to worry about smearing stray colored pencil particles in the wrong places or whatever.

That was the upside. The downside: I realized that I'm definitely going to need to learn how to simply draw digitally.... I don't think that redoing my pencil drawings with a tablet is going to cut it for very long. *sweatdrop* (Here is my pencil sketch of this picture, just so you can see the difference.)
The other downside is that I apparently suck at shading digitally just as much as I do traditionally. *headdesk*

I swear, how do people do this?!?!  HOW?! Drawing good pictures is impossible! DX

Riku (though his hair is MUCH shorter in this picture than it is in canon) and Riku's replica are characters from Kingdom Hearts, a video game series by Disney and Square Enix.
Kadaj, Yazoo, & Loz are characters from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, a film by Square Enix.
